Meet an exceptional photographer Ninad S. Khanapurkar from Pune, INDIA

Ninad says:

“I am a passionate self-taught freelance photographer and an IT consultant. After handling a SLR first time in my life in 1998 on my backpacking trip to Kerala I have been hooked onto photography for life now. The other thing which keeps me inspired is traveling. These two things actually mutually feed each other.

This insatiable hunger for travel propelled by the eagerness to see distant places, to perceive new culture, to explore human behavior, to observe the local socio-economic milieu and to take in the vistas, colors & culture feeds into my passion for photography.

Apart from the freelance work which I do as a photographer I was commissioned for a photo-video documentary on the Rock Shelters at Bhimbetka, an UNESCO World Heritage Site near Bhopal, MP in 2011.

The said documentary ’First Expression of Mankind: Bhimbetka-Vivified‘ – has won two awards at two film festivals, Satara Short Film Festival Nov 2012 & Smita Patil Short Documentary Competition, Dec 2012.

Currently I am in the midst of converting my freelance photography passion into a full-time occupation.”
